World Top Model is an international modeling contest and fashion show which has been organized every year since 1990 in global capitals such as Milan, Zurich, Monte Carlo, Berlin, Palma de Mallorca, Rome, Zanzibar, Gothenburg, Lugano, Prague, Budapest & Courmayeur and has been hosted by such names as Claudia Schiffer, Valeria Mazza, Markus Schenkenberg, Grace Jones, Richard Clayderman, Zucchero, Marianne Faithfull, Brigitte Nielsen, and many others.
Once a year, the event selects a model that best represents the Values of the modelling and fashion industry and gives 2,00,000 Euro Contract to the winner. The objective of the event is to highlight the importance the Model plays in fashion industry, and in doing so pay homage to Beauty and to Fashion. The World Top Model event is recorded and broadcasted globally.
World Top Model has primarily been a European show so far throughout its history. This year, it is coming to India for the first time under Senorita India Beauty Pageant, which is a brand of Diego Event. The show is in form of a fashion week, but all the models are going to be judged for their looks, style and the value they bring to the fashion week. Each city audition (total 3) and 7 days of the finale shall make up a high end fashion based competition which shall be telecast on national television. It shall be the only show of its kind in India. World Top Model India shall select 3 girls to represent India at World Top Model 2016 in Miami in December. All 3 girls shall win the title of World Top Model India, lucrative modeling contract prize money worth 200,000 EUROS, foreign trips & photoshoots in exotic locations & shall be winners with equal status for all purposes.
